Since I was little, I liked to close my eyes and make beautiful pictures. I painted my dolls in stunning, colorful dresses and high heels. I realized that I needed to express what I was thinking.

I have been very fortunate that in my career as a costume designer in television and magazines this creativity has flowed effortlessly.

After 10 wonderful years in the field of fashion, I had the need to further develop what I felt. So, I decided to create a select line of shoes and sandals that perfectly express me. The Sofia Ubeka brand is a mixture of things I love and things I stepped onto in my fashion travels. 

Everything in my everyday life is my inspiration.

I create images in my mind, take the paper and express myself through the drawing.

When this inspiration of mine becomes a creation with materials that I choose, I feel immense satisfaction. It’s my journey and I’m grateful for it.
